This document is a notification
by master Robert de Bedeford, precenter of the church of Lincoln, reciting
a dispute between the Abbots of Aross...and the nuns of Harewold... An agreement
was reached on the feast of St. Luke the evangelist, 1188.
The elaborate lettering
in documents is quite mind-blowing. Here is an example dated October 1578.
