The north of Bedford will be very unfamiliar to those who left some time ago. Putnoe Lane used to end in a dirt track early in the seventies, but now leads to Mowsbury Park, with many newish houses in between. Between the rugby field and the park is a pathway for walks - an opportunity to get away from things!
